We are a family based company striving to make the world easier for kids like Drew, an extremely cheerful little boy who has been a Baha® wearer since 2004. Drew was born with a syndrome, but that syndrome doesn't define who he is. He needed a Baha to hear, but he deserved the chance to wear his Baha; without it being the most obvious thing about him.
What sparked us to find a solution to our problem of Drew's hearing appliance being the first thing you saw about him? A very upset grandma. There wasn't any product or way to move Drew's Baha to a hat to protect his head from the sun. Why? He shouldn't be kept inside because there wasn't a way to move his Baha.
These things were the motivation behind the creation of the hearing aid bases and Forwerd Inc. With the Forwerd bases, hats and headbands, we have made it possible for people to focus on Drew's (or any Baha wearing child's) personality, smile and giggle.
Your child, grandchild or neighbor can now have the same opportunity, to be like every other child and wear hats or headbands and without his/her hearing impairment being the first thing that others see. And the very young child can now wear his or her Baha without needing to use double-sided tape to hold the headband in place and without worrying about whether the headband is so tight that it will change the shape of the very young head.
